Alaska...Our Last Frontier | |
| "Alaska" is a Native American word meaning "great land." It has been called America's Last Frontier because much of the great land is still unsettled. This fact is very evident when you first arrive in the small village of Goodnews Bay (via private charter non-stop from Anchorage) to begin your adventure at Goodnews River Lodge. Our friendly staff then transports you in a high-speed jet boat to our camp on the Goodnews River - a three-branch river system that courses through the 4.3 million-acre wildlife refuge. |
